Hey Guys, here's the completed A-Toll Scritti from Volks. It's a 1/100 HSGK, High Spec Garage Kit.
In the lineart from the books, and its first appearance in the manga, it doesn't have the shields so I wanted to have it displayed without them. I thought it'd be kinda boring just standing there without swords, so I modified the hands so it would hold them. (they were open fingers originally). There's an image in the manga of the Fatima standing on the head with an open cockpit. I also decided I wanted to try making that, so...I did.
The little hinges for the hatch were 3d sculpted and printed. The rest of the detail is extra photoetch bits from my extras stash. The first fight in the manga with the Mortarheadd takes place in a forest environment, so I wanted to add some trees to kinda give it that same vibe. Bonus, it also helps show the scale of the machine. I can't remember the brand, but I bought them from a train shop. HO scale is close to 1/100, 1/80something.. so they fit pretty well. The base is built up with foam, celluclay and static grass.
Overall, i'm pretty pleased with the outcome, even if it did take me a lot longer than i'd originally planned. (I had a ot of paint issues, but that's user error)
